Omega Seamaster Cal. 354 Bumer Automatic
This charming little watch dates to 1952, making it one of the earliest Seamaster iterations. The Seamaster line was introduced just four years prior in 1948. Its caliber 354 number automatic movement is running strong and reminds you of its presence whenever you turn over your wrist. The watch speaks to an interesting period in horology when watch makers were trying to skirt patent infringement with Rolex’s Ouster Perpetual movement. The watch is also in the period style, smaller in case diameter at 32mm, as was the period fashion for mens’ watches. Today it is every bit a reliable time keeper as it is a time capsule, harkening back to the mid-century golden era or watchmaking innovation.
