An absoluty stunning example of a mid-century calatrava, this IWC dress watch with Cal. 853 movement is for the individual who prefers to make a statement in the board room with a flash of the wrist. The watch is in stunning shape with an uncommon "long indices" dial. More commonly the hour markers on these watches were shorter, faceted and pointed. The watch is in remarkable consition for its age and was serviced most recently in 2022. Please note a small scratch on the side of the left lower lug. 35mm. Great for a formal occasion or dark business ensembles.
